easter sewing for the boys

Long overdue Liberty tie for the big boy using this tutorial...

A matching tie-appliquéd tee shirt for the little boy using my favorite appliqué technique from Last Minute Patchwork & Quilted Gifts...

And a simple pair of pants made from yellowish tan pinstripe denim.
(Not the best color description. It's actually a nice color.)
I made these from my trusty, cloth diaper ready pants pattern,
but cloth and I are on a break, hence the rolled waist.

Oh, my goodness the cute. I still don't like A looking that OLD! He also looks positively brimming over with mischief. And G is quite the dapper man in his tie. Love it all, including the rolled over pants. So cloth diapers take up a lot of room in pants, huh?

L - Cloth diapers take up a lot of room in my LIFE. And in pants.

could you share your trusty pattern for cloth diaper bum pants?

Kathya, I would love to share my pattern, but it's just one that I drafted from a pair of pants that fit him well already. It's very easy and there are a lot of tutorials online that walk you through the process of copying a simple, elastic waist pair of pants. It's been a while, but if I recall correctly, I think the pair I copied were a pair made from the pattern in Lotta Jansdotter's book, Simple Sewing, tweaked for a better fit. Hope that helps...
